Corporation establishment cost calculator

This page translates the Korean corporation formation cost guide and keeps the same registration tax, local education tax, registration fee, notarization, scrivener, seal, and certificate cost logic.

Registration tax and local education tax

Corporation establishment registration license tax is modeled at 0.4 percent of capital with a minimum of KRW 112,500. If the establishment is in an over-crowded control area and no exemption applies, the tax is tripled.

Local education tax is 20 percent of the registration license tax. The Korean source keeps the base tax and heavy-tax flag separate so the result explains whether the over-crowded-area multiplier was applied.

Filing and notarization

The formation filing fee is KRW 20,000 for e-Form and KRW 30,000 for offline filing in the source constants. Bank certificate and seal stamp costs are added separately.

For stock companies, notarization can be required for subscription incorporation or for promoter incorporation with capital of KRW 1 billion or more. The notarial fee table starts at KRW 11,000 and can rise for large capital amounts, with a cap in the Korean source.

Cost planning

The result separates government fees, notarization, scrivener fee, seal stamp, bank certificate, and total formation cost. It also compares corporation type scenarios in the source model.

Use the estimate before preparing articles of incorporation, founder documents, capital payment certificate, seal registration, business registration, and registration agent quotes.
