This English page translates the Korean corporate amendment registration guide for executive, trade name, purpose, headquarters, branch, capital, filing, local education tax, and scrivener costs.

Fixed and capital-based taxes

Most ordinary corporate change registrations use a fixed registration license tax of KRW 40,200 per item in the Korean source. Headquarters relocation uses KRW 112,500 unless a capital-based heavy-tax rule applies.

Capital increase uses 0.4 percent of the increase amount with a KRW 112,500 floor. When the large-city or over-crowded-area surcharge applies, the relevant registration tax is multiplied by three.

Filing fee and local education tax

Local education tax is 20 percent of registration license tax. Filing fees are charged per selected item: KRW 2,000 for electronic filing, KRW 4,000 for e-Form, and KRW 6,000 for offline filing.

The calculator shows a method comparison because the filing fee changes by application route while the underlying registration tax stays the same.

When to use the estimate

Use this estimate for common changes such as executive appointment or reappointment, trade name change, business purpose change, headquarters relocation, branch installation, capital increase, and capital reduction.

Actual cost can change if multiple registry jurisdictions are involved, public notice is required, corporate resolutions are defective, or a scrivener quotes additional document-preparation fees.
