The calculation preserves the Korean fund-class model: front load, annual TER, back-end load, opportunity cost, and break-even month. This English finance calculator calls the Korean feature lib for its numeric result. KRW inputs and outputs replace the old generic USD projection stub for this batch.

Fund class fee comparison calculator

This English guide translates the Korean fund share-class comparison page for A, C, A-e, C-e, S, P, I, and F classes. The calculator calls calculateFundComparison and keeps the Korean TER and break-even logic.

How fund classes differ

Class A typically charges a front-end load of about 0.5% to 1.0% but has a lower annual sales fee. Class C usually has no front-end load, so it can look better for short holding periods, but its ongoing fee is higher.

A-e and C-e are online classes where sales compensation can be about 30% to 50% lower than offline classes. S class is the fund-supermarket structure; the Korean content warns that a back-end or redemption fee around 0.15% can apply if sold within 3 years.

TER and break-even analysis

The Korean page separates front-end load, annual management and sales fees, trustee and administration fees, other expenses, trading and brokerage costs, and back-end load. TER is the full recurring cost view, not just the advertised management fee.

For example, if Class A has a 1.0% front-end load and 1.55% annual cost while Class C has 0% front-end load and 2.30% annual cost, the 0.75 percentage point yearly gap recovers the initial load after roughly 1 year and 4 to 5 months.

Using the Korean calculation

The English calculator keeps investment amount, monthly contribution, expected return, holding years, front-end fees, annual costs, and redemption fees in the same structure that the Korean client page uses.

Long-term installment investors should pay special attention to recurring cost drag, while short-term parking money may care more about initial sales load and redemption fees. Taxes usually follow the fund asset type, so class selection mainly changes cost rather than tax classification.
