Estate cleanup and special cleaning cost guide

This English page translates the Korean estate-cleanup and special-cleaning calculator and calls calculateCleanupCost, calculateBreakdown, estimateWasteTons, calculateAccessSurcharge, and generateBreakdownRows. It preserves the 2026 per-pyeong labor table, waste-disposal tonnage, ladder-truck access surcharge, disinfection minimum, add-on items, VAT 10%, Civil Act Article 1019, Civil Act Article 1026, and inheritance-tax funeral-expense deduction rules.

General cleanup, lonely-death cleaning, and hoarding cleanup

The Korean source separates three situations: general estate cleanup, lonely-death special cleaning, and hoarding or trash-house cleanup. The base dispatch charge is KRW 150,000, and per-pyeong labor is KRW 100,000, KRW 120,000, or KRW 150,000 depending on the situation.

Volume changes the labor and waste model through 0.8, 1.0, and 1.35 multipliers. Residence type adds an access multiplier, while waste is estimated in one-ton truck units using a minimum of one ton and KRW 250,000 per ton.

Special-cleaning surcharge and access cost

Lonely-death cleaning adds fixed biohazard surcharges of KRW 800,000, KRW 1,800,000, or KRW 3,500,000 by contamination level. Hoarding cleanup uses KRW 300,000, KRW 700,000, or KRW 1,500,000, then adds disinfection when selected.

Disinfection and deodorizing are KRW 30,000 per pyeong with a KRW 150,000 minimum. If there is no elevator, stairs add KRW 30,000 per floor after the first floor, and a KRW 200,000 ladder truck is added from the fifth floor.

Inheritance caution and tax treatment

The warning in the Korean page is preserved: if heirs are considering renunciation or qualified acceptance, disposing of estate property before the procedure may be treated as simple acceptance under Civil Act Article 1026. Civil Act Article 1019 timing should be reviewed before cleanup starts.

Inheritance-tax funeral expense deductions generally recognize KRW 5,000,000 without receipts, up to KRW 10,000,000 for ordinary funeral cost with evidence, plus KRW 5,000,000 for columbarium or natural burial, for a maximum of KRW 15,000,000. Estate cleanup and special cleaning are usually not direct funeral expenses, so evidence and tax advice matter.
