Demolition and waste cost

Wood KRW 110,000 per pyeong and RC KRW 220,000 per pyeong are core structure references in the Korean guide. Access, region, basement, floor count, and safety cost can increase the result.

Waste handling is 40 to 50 percent of many demolition budgets. Mixed construction waste KRW 190,000 per ton and separated waste KRW 120,000 per ton are modeled to show why sorting can reduce cost.

Asbestos and filing

The asbestos survey threshold is house 200 sqm, non-house 50 sqm. If asbestos is present, survey and removal should be priced separately before demolition starts.

The demolition report threshold is under 500 sqm, under 12 m, up to 3 floors in the Korean guide. Bigger or riskier buildings can require a permit rather than a simple report.

Registration and closure aid

Loss registration must be filed within one month after demolition. The calculator includes self or agent registration cost because leaving the register uncorrected can create later administrative problems.

Store closure subsidy KRW 200,000 per pyeong, cap KRW 6 million, can offset part of eligible small-business demolition or restoration cost. Confirm program eligibility before assuming the subsidy.
