Vaccine price assumptions

Shingrix is modeled at KRW 150,000 to KRW 250,000 per dose, with two doses in the Korean source. Live zoster vaccines such as Zostavax or Skyzoster are treated as lower-cost alternatives, but the calculator keeps the immunocompromised warning because live vaccines are not simply interchangeable with recombinant Shingrix.

PPSV23 is free from age 65 under the national pneumococcal vaccination path. PCV13, PCV15, and PCV20 remain self-pay adult choices in the model unless a separate hospital or local program applies.

HPV 9-valent Gardasil 9 is KRW 180,000 to KRW 250,000 per dose. The national free HPV program is modeled for eligible female age groups with 2-valent or 4-valent products, while Gardasil 9 stays self-pay even when the person would otherwise meet the free-program age and income condition.

Eligibility and dose logic

HPV dose count follows the Korean source rule: younger recipients can use a two-dose schedule, while age 15 or older and immunocompromised recipients use three doses. Pneumococcal PPSV23 becomes free at age 65, but other pneumococcal products do not inherit that free status automatically.

Local shingles support is treated separately from national immunization. When the local support flag is selected, the shingles self-pay line is reduced according to the support assumption, but the page still shows the regular price basis for planning.

How to read the estimate
