The liver transplant default uses KRW 30,000,000 as the covered surgery fee, KRW 1,800,000 per month for immunosuppressants, and KRW 6,000,000 as first-year extra covered cost.

ABO-incompatible transplant adds KRW 3,000,000 as an extra non-covered estimate. The planning window is entered in years so the calculator can show year-one cost, steady annual cost, and cumulative cost.

Copay and ceiling logic

The Korean source models transplant surgery copay at 10 percent. Immunosuppressants use 10 percent when special-case registration applies, 30 percent when unregistered, 14 percent for near-poor status, and zero for Medical Aid.

The 2026 copay ceiling table used here ranges from KRW 900,000 to KRW 8,430,000 by income decile. Private indemnity uses a KRW 50,000,000 hospital-care limit assumption for year-one surgery-side reimbursement.

Long-term interpretation
