This English page follows the Korean gastric-cancer guide and preserves the same ESD, open gastrectomy, laparoscopic gastrectomy, robotic gastrectomy, chemotherapy, subtotal or total gastrectomy, D2 lymph-node dissection, cancer special-case, room, caregiver, indemnity, and tax-credit model.

Treatment fee table

Endoscopic submucosal dissection, ESD, uses KRW 3,000,000 and 3 default stay days for early gastric cancer that can preserve the stomach. Open gastrectomy uses KRW 7,000,000 and 9 days. Laparoscopic gastrectomy uses KRW 8,200,000 and 7 days.

Robotic gastrectomy is modeled as non-covered for the robotic surgery fee, with KRW 10,000,000 to KRW 18,000,000 and KRW 13,000,000 average. Chemotherapy uses KRW 6,000,000 as an annual outpatient covered estimate.

Resection, lymph nodes, and copay

Total gastrectomy adds KRW 1,500,000 to the covered surgery base. D2 extended lymph-node dissection adds KRW 1,000,000. Standard ward admission uses KRW 100,000 per day, and ordinary inpatient copay is 20 percent unless gastric cancer special-case registration applies at 5 percent.

Room surcharge is KRW 150,000 per day for a two-bed room and KRW 300,000 per day for a private room. PCA is KRW 150,000, caregiver cost is KRW 130,000 per day, and generation 5 raises the non-covered copay to 50 percent in the source indemnity model.

How to read the estimate

ESD may preserve the stomach for selected early cancers, but it is not a substitute for surgery when invasion depth, lymph-node risk, margin, ulceration, or histology is unfavorable. Laparoscopic and open surgery remain covered options, while robotic surgery changes the non-covered exposure.

The calculator covers the surgery-side cost model. Chemotherapy regimen, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, nutrition, follow-up endoscopy, recurrence treatment, and complication care can add costs outside the page.
