Korea weekly holiday allowance calculator guide

This English page translates the Korean weekly holiday allowance calculator and calls calculateWeeklyHolidayAllowance from the utilities feature library. It preserves weekly work-hour eligibility, perfect attendance, holiday paid hours, weekly allowance, total weekly pay, monthly projection, and legal-compliance warnings.

Eligibility conditions

The Korean source checks whether weekly work hours are at least 15 hours and whether the worker had perfect attendance for scheduled workdays. If either condition fails, weekly holiday allowance is zero.

The input keeps employment type, hourly wage, week start date, perfect attendance, and a seven-day work schedule. The daily schedule records workday flag, hours, minutes, start time, and end time.

Allowance formula

Daily work breakdown calculates work hours, work minutes, total minutes, and daily pay for each day. Weekly stats then sum work days, total hours, total minutes, and total pay.

If eligible, holiday paid hours are calculated as weekly total hours divided by work days. Weekly holiday allowance is holiday paid hours times hourly wage, and total weekly pay is regular weekly pay plus the allowance.

2026 constants and monthly projection

The Korean utility constants include minimum weekly hours of 15, 2026 minimum wage of KRW 10,320 for this weekly-holiday module, standard monthly hours of 209, and weeks per month of 4.345. The current calculator function uses a 4.33 monthly projection in its monthly output, preserving the existing Korean implementation.

The English page does not overwrite those constants. Where the wage-converter utility has a different source constant, that difference is kept in the relevant utility instead of being normalized in English.

Compliance warnings

The result includes legalCompliance with minimum-hours check, perfect-attendance check, and warnings. These warnings are generated by the Korean function and are used to explain why an entered schedule may not qualify.

Actual weekly holiday allowance can depend on contract schedule, absenteeism, tardiness, unpaid leave, actual work records, and whether the worker is covered by the relevant Labor Standards Act rules. The calculator is a structured estimate based on the Korean page model.
