This tool counts characters, words, lines, and UTF-8 bytes in real time, then compares two text versions line by line. The Korean source page targets writing, editing, code review, translation review, logs, API responses, and documents with strict length limits.

Counting and comparison features

Text statistics

  • It reports total characters including spaces, characters excluding spaces, word count, line count, and UTF-8 byte size.
  • Korean, English, punctuation, special symbols, and emojis are counted according to their actual text and byte representation.
  • Typing speed is tracked as characters per minute for the recent 1-minute window, total typing time, and average speed.
  • Draft text is auto-saved in browser local storage so accidental tab closure is less likely to lose work.

Line diff

  • Added lines are shown in green, deleted lines in red, and changed lines in yellow.
  • The diff summary includes changed line count and character-count difference.
  • Automatic storage is local to the same browser and computer; private browsing or browser-data deletion removes it.
  • Diff comparison can be uncomfortable on small mobile screens, so desktop or tablet is recommended for heavy review.

  • Recommended social lengths include Twitter 280 characters, about 140 Korean characters, Instagram captions 125 to 150 characters, Facebook posts 40 to 80 characters, YouTube titles 70 characters or less, and YouTube descriptions up to 5,000 characters.
  • A 200-character manuscript sheet equals 200 non-space characters; one A4 page at 10 pt and 160% line spacing is about 1,800 to 2,000 Korean characters.
