Runs the Korean health-insurance optimizer using the same 2026 employee and regional rates, long-term-care rate, salary caps, score tables, dependent thresholds, reduction rules, and strategy simulation. This English calculator calls the same pure tax calculation function used by the Korean page. Inputs and labels are translated; the formula is not replaced by a generic value-times-rate stub.

Health insurance optimizer

This English page translates the Korean health-insurance optimizer and keeps the same 2026 employee, regional, dependent, reduction, and strategy simulation logic.

2026 premium rates

The Korean model uses a 7.19 percent employee health insurance rate, with the worker share at 3.595 percent and the employer share at 3.595 percent. Long-term care insurance is calculated as 13.14 percent of the health insurance premium.

Employee salary premiums also use monthly salary caps and floors. The 2026 model keeps the monthly salary upper limit of KRW 119,625,106 and lower limit of KRW 279,266, so very high or very low salary entries do not scale without limit.

Regional and dependent tests

Regional subscribers are evaluated through income, property, and car score components. The optimizer uses the regional score-unit price, property score tables, financial-income inclusion threshold, and residence reductions rather than a one-line percentage.

Dependent eligibility is tested with income and property thresholds. The Korean model includes a KRW 20 million dependent income limit, KRW 540 million property safe zone, KRW 900 million conditional property zone, and a KRW 10 million conditional income test.

Strategy simulation

The optimizer compares applicable strategies such as dependent registration, financial-income splitting, voluntary continuation, regional-to-employee changes, income adjustment, property adjustment, and reduction eligibility.

Use the result as a planning screen before changing subscriber type or asset ownership. Many health-insurance strategies affect income tax, gift tax, real-estate tax, employment status, and family eligibility at the same time.
