Korea wedding cost calculator guide

This English page translates the Korean wedding-cost calculator and calls calculateWeddingCost. It preserves venue, region, time slot, day type, meal cost, SDME, gifts, pyebaek, honeymoon, additional items, cost sharing, savings plan, and national cost comparison.

Venue, meal, and ceremony timing

Venue cost starts from venue type base range, then applies region factor, time-slot factor, and day-type factor. Meal cost is guest count times meal price per person, and optional flower, MC, and singer items are added.

Saturday noon in Seoul is therefore not treated the same as a weekday morning small wedding. The Korean source keeps those factors separate so couples can test timing and guest-count changes.

SDME, gifts, pyebaek, and honeymoon

SDME can be package-based or itemized into studio, dress, and makeup, with outdoor or Jeju shoot add-ons. Gift and yedan items include rings, watches, necklaces, hanbok, bedding, and appliances.

Pyebaek and ibaji are calculated separately, while honeymoon can be destination-based or a custom price. Additional items include invitation cards, mobile invitation, thank-you gifts, bouquet, boutonniere, guest transport, and guest accommodation.

Savings and cost sharing

The total cost is split by groom and bride ratios, then the savings plan compares remaining cost with current savings, months until wedding, and monthly income. It flags whether the monthly savings target is feasible under the Korean source rule.

Wedding budgets move quickly with guest count, meal contract, peak season, cancellation terms, and family customs. Use the calculator as a shared baseline before signing venue, SDME, and travel contracts.
