Columbarium cost calculator guide

This English page translates the Korean columbarium-cost calculator and calls calculateColumbariumCost. It preserves facility type, public/private operator, capacity, tier position, use period, region multiplier, urn grade, tablet, engraving, placement fee, floral option, management prepayment discount, renewal scenario, operator comparison, and facility comparison.

Usage fee and options

Usage fee starts from base usage fee by facility type and operator, then applies capacity multiplier, tier multiplier, period multiplier, and region multiplier. The default scenario is a public hall, single capacity, royal tier, 15-year period, Seoul region, and basic urn.

Initial cost adds usage fee, urn cost, and one-time options such as tablet, engraving, and placement fee. Floral cost is annual and is multiplied by the selected period when included.

Management fee and renewal

Management total is annual management fee times period years, with a prepay discount if prepayManagement is selected. Perpetual period is treated as 45 years for management-fee calculation in the source data.

If the period is not perpetual, renewal cost estimates another period using a renewal usage factor plus management fee for the same period. Total with renewal adds that scenario to the original total.

Comparison outputs

Operator comparison recalculates public and private usage fee and management total under the same configuration. Facility comparison recalculates each facility type while holding urn, options, floral, and management values constant.

Actual contracts should confirm usage period, renewal rights, relocation rules, management fee escalation, tablet or engraving inclusion, floral restrictions, operator refund rules, and whether the listed price is before or after tax.
