Base funeral cost categories

The source divides funeral cost into venue, meal, service, goods, burial method, transport, and additional cost. Venue cost depends on venue type, room grade, duration, and region multiplier. Meal cost is guest count times meal and refreshment unit cost.

Service cost includes preservation by day, embalming, and encoffining. Goods include shroud, coffin, and accessories by grade. Additional options can include religious ceremony, flower decoration, portrait photo, and funeral director.

Disposition method and support

Cremation adds public or private cremation fee, columbary type and period, and urn cost. Burial adds cemetery plot and optional headstone. Natural burial adds natural-burial fee and container cost.

Support can include national pension funeral aid by pension period, basic-livelihood recipient funeral benefit of 800,000 KRW, and industrial-accident funeral aid calculated from average wage times 120 days. The result subtracts support from gross cost to show net family burden.
