Covered delivery costs

Natural delivery full fee is KRW 1,500,000 in the Korean source, with the patient delivery copay modeled as zero. Cesarean delivery full fee is KRW 3,000,000 with a 5 percent copay, and the calculator also applies longer default inpatient days for cesarean delivery.

Epidural self-pay is KRW 50,000 and is applied to natural delivery only. Newborn basic care, multiple fetus multiplier, and delivery method are all calculated before voucher subtraction.

Non-covered and voucher items

Room upgrade, mother non-covered treatment, and cord-blood storage are separated from insured delivery self-pay. Cord-blood cost is excluded from the medical voucher and tax-credit medical base in the Korean model.

The voucher balance is applied only to eligible medical spending. The result shows natural and cesarean scenarios side by side, then highlights the selected method final cost.

Planning interpretation

Private room choice can dominate the family burden even when covered delivery copay is small. Region and hospital type adjust room and non-covered amounts.
