Work-life balance and job satisfaction calculator guide

This English page translates the Korean WLB and job-satisfaction calculator and calls calculateWLBResult. It keeps the 30-question structure, WLB score, satisfaction score, total score, grade, dimension scores, turnover-warning count, Korea comparison, and recommended strategy ids.

30-question scoring model

The Korean source uses 30 answers on a 1 to 5 scale and divides them into work-life balance dimensions and satisfaction dimensions. Each dimension has a raw score, max score, normalized score, weight, Korea average, and gap.

The English compact UI uses an average-response control for fast scenario testing, but the calculation still passes a full answer array with the same question count as the Korean model. This keeps answered-count and total-question behavior identical.

WLB, satisfaction, and grade

calculateWLBResult returns WLB score, satisfaction score, total score, grade, grade label, grade description, dimension lists, strong points, weak points, and recommended strategy ids. The English UI shows the numeric outputs and grade while avoiding untranslated Korean labels.

The Korean model also compares the user score with Korea-average baselines. The result includes WLB gap, satisfaction gap, total gap, and an approximate percentile.

Turnover-risk checklist

The turnover checklist is separate from the 30-question score. The Korean function counts checked warning items and classifies turnover risk as low, moderate, or high.

A high turnover risk should be interpreted as a prompt to review workload, manager relationship, compensation, growth, commute, health, and job-market alternatives. The score is not a medical or legal diagnosis.

Practical use

The Korean content connects WLB and satisfaction to repeated workplace decisions: staying, negotiating workload, changing teams, or preparing a job change. The calculator is meant to make that discussion structured rather than emotional.

For serious distress, harassment, health symptoms, or unsafe work, use appropriate workplace, medical, counseling, or legal channels. The calculator supports self-checking and planning only.
