First birthday party cost guide

This English page translates the Korean doljanchi first-birthday calculator and calls calculateFirstBirthdayCost, calculateVenueCost, calculateSetupCost, calculatePhotoCost, calculateDecoCost, calculateFavorsCost, calculateIncome, and calculateComparison. It preserves the minimum guarantee, venue rental multipliers, dol table, outfit, host, snap photo, growth album, favors, gift money, gold ring income, and DOLJANCHI_COST_STATISTICS comparison.

Venue guarantee and food cost

The venue calculation pays for the larger of actual adult guests and the venue minimum guarantee. Adult meals and child meals are added, then rental cost is adjusted by region and day-of-week factors.

This is why a small event can still be expensive at a specialty hall or hotel. Even if fewer adults attend, the guarantee can make the effective adult count higher than actual attendance.

Setup, photos, decoration, and favors

Setup cost includes dol table, baby or family outfit, and host. Specialty halls and hotels can include host service, while restaurant, cafe, or home scenarios may add a separate host price.

Photo cost can include snap photos, growth album, and video. Decoration includes balloon, cake, banner, and doljabi items. Favors are unit price times quantity, so a household-count estimate matters more than total attendees.

Gift money, gold rings, and net cost

Income is calculated from gift money per adult guest plus gold ring count times gold ring price. The calculator reports total spending, total income, net cost, cost per guest, and percentile versus the Korean doljanchi cost statistics.

Use the result as a family-budget tool, not as a rule for event size. Photographer contracts, cancellation rules, private rooms, cake carry-in fees, and local meal prices can change the final bill.
