This English page follows the Korean medicine guide for insured acupuncture, electroacupuncture, moxa, cupping, Chuna, physical therapy, herbal prescriptions, tonic medicine, pharmacopuncture, clinic type, region, traffic accident coverage, and tax credit.

Insured treatment basis

Body acupuncture insured fee is KRW 12,000 and electroacupuncture insured fee is KRW 15,000 in the source table. Direct moxa, indirect moxa, dry cupping, wet cupping, Chuna, and Korean medicine physical therapy each keep their own insured fee.

Chuna annual benefit limit is 20 sessions. When selected Chuna sessions exceed that annual benefit limit, the Korean calculator converts the excess portion to non-covered self-pay in the result.

Non-covered Korean medicine items

Herbal 2-week prescription range is KRW 150,000 to KRW 400,000, and the 1-month prescription range is KRW 250,000 to KRW 700,000. The calculator adjusts these ranges by region and clinic type.

General pharmacopuncture range is KRW 20,000 to KRW 50,000 per session, and special pharmacopuncture range is KRW 30,000 to KRW 100,000. Ear acupuncture, thread embedding, and knife-needle treatment are added separately when selected.

Insurance, accident, and tax

Korean medicine clinic copay uses 30 percent, Korean medicine hospital 40 percent, and university Korean medicine hospital 50 percent for insured items in this model. Traffic accident auto-insurance cases are treated as zero patient cost for the selected care path.

The result includes total range, monthly average, insurance saving, Chuna limit information, and medical expense tax-credit reference. Use it with the clinic receipt, diagnosis, traffic accident insurer guidance, and Chuna usage history.
