Cycle costs and government support

Fresh IVF is modeled at KRW 3,000,000 to KRW 4,000,000 before insurance and support in the Korean guide. IUI, frozen IVF, and ICSI use their own step-level costs, so the English calculator calls the same cycle simulation instead of applying one percentage.

Government support is KRW 1,100,000 for fresh IVF in the source support table, subject to cycle count and eligibility assumptions. The calculator separates covered copay support from non-covered support for items such as embryo freezing or PGT.

Non-covered options

Embryo freezing, implantation aid, miscarriage-prevention medication, PGT, and pre-treatment tests are modeled as separate inputs. That matters because non-covered add-ons can exceed the covered copay portion of a cycle.

Previous cycles and planned cycles reduce remaining insurance-supported attempts. The result shows remaining IVF and IUI cycles after the current plan, matching the Korean page logic.

Tax and leave

The tax-deduction option uses the Korean medical expense threshold and infertility-treatment credit treatment. Other medical expenses can be added so the threshold is not evaluated in isolation.

Fertility-treatment leave is shown as a separate planning item. Use the output with the clinic estimate, subsidy notice, embryo plan, medication protocol, and employer leave policy.
