Uses the Korean comparison engine with 15.4% interest tax, parking preferred-rate caps, CMA protection differences, issued-note non-protection, and KRW 100 million protection limit. This English finance calculator calls the same Korean pure calculation module as the Korean page. KRW and Korean statutory thresholds are preserved instead of the old generic percentage stub.

Parking account, CMA, and issued-note comparison guide

This English guide translates the Korean short-term cash product comparison page. The calculator calls compareShortTerm and preserves tax, liquidity, protection, preferred-rate, and product-type differences.

Three product families

A parking account is a bank or savings-bank demand account with a preferred rate up to a limit and a lower base rate above that limit. It is usually deposit-protected when the institution and product are covered.

A CMA can be RP, MMW, MMF, note, or protected merchant-bank type. The Korean engine distinguishes protected CMA types from non-protected CMA structures instead of treating all CMA balances like bank deposits.

Issued-note risk and tax

Issued notes can offer higher rates as fixed or liquid short-term products, but issued notes are not deposit-protected. The Korean page therefore compares the best overall yield with the best protected option and shows the safety tradeoff gap.

Interest income is reduced by 15.4% interest tax. The result reports gross interest, tax, net interest, net received amount, annualized net yield, and whether the amount exceeds the KRW 100 million protection limit.

Reading the comparison

The best after-tax product can change when the principal exceeds the parking preferred-rate cap. In that case the parking account effective rate falls because only the capped amount receives the preferred rate.

For emergency cash, the best protected result may be more relevant than the highest net interest. For short-term yield cash, compare the unprotected premium against the amount you are willing to expose to issuer risk.
