Korea Fund Redemption Cash Date & Closing Deadline Calculator

Use your verified Korean fund terms, cutoff and calendar to check NAV/payment dates and the latest acceptance window before your target cash date. All times are KST.

Redemption request date ≠ cash date · Contract-based planning

Default dates, hours and day counts are editable drafts. Verify your fund terms, seller acceptance and calendar. All times are KST, at minute precision.

Do not enter account numbers or personal identifiers. Inputs are not saved to a server.

1. Fund and actual acceptance

2. Cutoff terms (Nth business day)

Counting receipt day as day 1 makes the 8th business day D+7. Only a single same-date acceptance window is supported; seller order hours take priority. Reverse search excludes an unresolved exact cutoff.

3. Verified business-day calendar

Uses Monday–Friday. Include every closure required by the contract, including public, Labour Day, year-end and temporary closures. Do not arbitrarily combine overseas holidays. Separate YYYY-MM-DD dates with commas or newlines.

4. Target cash date and closing

Target cash date must be on or before closing. Matching dates alone do not confirm same-day closing when cash/transfer timing is unknown.

Optional: reconcile finalized settlement

Do not use a future NAV, account valuation or assumed tax rate. Enter 0 for confirmed zero charges; leave unknown values blank. Decimals and commas are accepted.

A fund redemption request is not an immediate cash deposit

When you need money for a Korean housing deposit, property closing or household payment, check the cash date before submitting a redemption.
The applicable NAV date and payment date depend on your fund, share class, seller and acceptance channel.
A sufficient account valuation does not establish that the cash will be available when you need it.

This calculator schedules one already-held fund under verified terms and finds the latest acceptance window that pays by your target cash date.
It is designed for holders and family members coordinating payments, including households aged 40–79 that want to avoid emergency borrowing or a delayed closing.
It covers one Korean open-end public fund in an ordinary taxable account, with all times in Korea Standard Time (KST).
It does not recommend investments or forecast returns.

Keep acceptance, NAV, payment and closing separate

Actual acceptance and NAV date

Acceptance is the timestamp recognized by your seller, which may differ from the time you placed a reservation.
Check the transaction slip or confirmed order history.
The NAV date identifies the price used to calculate redemption proceeds; it is not itself a promise of cash availability.

Payment, target and closing dates

Payment is the scheduled date for redemption proceeds under the contract.
The target cash date is when you want funds ready; closing is when you actually need to make the transfer or payment.
Setting a target before closing lets you examine a separate date buffer.

Documents and confirmations to prepare

  1. Identify the fund, share class, seller and channel, current document URL and effective date.
Pension, IRP and ISA account withdrawals are outside this calculator even if the underlying holding is a fund.
  2. Confirm the before-cutoff and after-cutoff NAV and payment business-day ordinals, whether receipt day counts, and treatment exactly at cutoff.
A reference value is not evidence that your current holding has the same terms.
  3. Confirm the seller’s actual same-day acceptance opening and closing times.
Only a single window within one date is supported; overnight windows and different hours on particular dates require separate seller confirmation.
  4. Check the official exchange/seller calendars, temporary closures and applicable redemption restrictions or deferral notices.
Do not confirm calendar coverage until you have checked every relevant closure.

Nth business days and the cutoff boundary

Counting receipt day changes the result

For a verified business-day sequence B, the NAV date is B[Nnav−1] and payment is B[Npay−1].
If receipt day is day 1, the 8th business day means D+7.
If receipt day is excluded, counting begins on the next eligible business day.
Weekends and contract-defined closures are skipped.

Pages 31–32 of the Hanwha Global Tech Hero Securities Feeder Investment Trust (UH), equity, prospectus effective 2026-06-12 distinguish NAV day 4/payment day 8 before 17:00 and NAV day 5/payment day 9 after 17:00.
These are reference counts from one verified contract, not standard terms for all Korean or overseas funds.
Loading that reference does not confirm your seller’s acceptance hours, current class terms or calendar.

Leave exact-cutoff treatment unresolved unless verified.
An actual request exactly at cutoff is then on hold, and reverse search excludes that minute.
If the seller stops accepting earlier than the fund cutoff, the seller’s closing time controls the latest window.
Results have minute precision; submit with time to spare instead of waiting for the final displayed minute.

Verify the calendar used by your contract

Bank opening days, KRX trading days and overseas trading days can differ.
Use the business-day definition in your own terms and list all applicable public, Labour Day, designated year-end and temporary closures.
Do not arbitrarily combine foreign market holidays.
No built-in annual calendar is represented as verified for your fund or a future year.

Seller-open, fund-closed receipt-day exception

The reference contract includes the receipt day when the seller is open but KRX is closed, excluding Saturday.
This tool supports that exception only for confirmed Monday–Friday acceptance, with the date in both the fund-closure and seller-only-open lists.
It includes that receipt day once; later closed days remain excluded.
Saturday and Sunday orders must be replaced by the actual confirmed reservation-conversion timestamp.

Calendar coverage is limited to 1,096 days, and every listed date must fall inside it.
Invalid dates or conflicting seller-closed/seller-only-open entries put calculation on hold.
An empty closure list means you have checked that there are no such closures in that range, not that the tool will automatically insert holidays.
A required payment day beyond coverage produces no data rather than extrapolating a date.

How to calculate the cash date and work backward

  1. Enter fund identity, class, seller, document version and actual acceptance.
If you only placed a reservation, keep acceptance unconfirmed until the seller establishes conversion.
  2. Enter cutoff, exact-cutoff policy, order hours, four business-day ordinals and receipt-day counting.
Confirm the contract/account scope and check the current restriction or deferral status.
  3. Enter verified coverage, all fund closures, seller closures, seller-only-open weekdays and supporting evidence.
Checking the confirmation does not cause the tool to independently detect omitted holidays.
  4. Set target and closing separately.
If cash is required by a particular closing-day time, enter it along with confirmed cash/transfer availability.
Read the current schedule, both cutoff bands, reverse window and hold reasons together.
  5. Download the full TXT checklist or print it for your seller.
Any input change clears the previous result, so recalculate before sharing a revised checklist.

Worked examples using a hypothetical calendar

Assume 2026-11-02 through 2026-11-30 has no additional closures beyond weekends.
This is a hypothetical fixture, not certification of the actual KRX or seller calendar.
Assume acceptance 09:00–18:00, cutoff 17:00, receipt day included, unresolved exact-cutoff treatment, NAV/payment 4/8 before and 5/9 after.

November 2 before versus after

Acceptance at 16:59 gives NAV 2026-11-05 and payment 2026-11-11.
Acceptance at 17:01 gives NAV 2026-11-06 and payment 2026-11-12.
Acceptance at exactly 17:00 remains on hold until its band is verified.

Target cash on November 13

The latest window is 2026-11-04, 09:00–16:59, with scheduled payment 2026-11-13.
If November 4 is subsequently identified as a closure, recalculate both current and reverse schedules.
One omitted closure can change the deadline decision.

Interpret schedules, holds and same-day closing

Scheduled under entered terms

The necessary entered conditions are present.
Target date minus payment date gives the calendar-day buffer: positive is early, zero is the same date, negative is late.
Reverse search independently uses verified terms/calendar, so a candidate window may be shown even when current reservation acceptance is unconfirmed.

On hold or no data

Unverified acceptance, terms or notices produce a hold.
Dates outside coverage or no candidate inside the verified range produce no data.
No candidate means none in that range, not that redemption is impossible across all past and future dates.
Resolve the listed issue and recalculate.

If payment is on closing day and cash is needed at 11:00, separately confirm when deposits, withdrawals and transfers are available.
Unknown timing keeps closing on hold; a confirmed availability later than 11:00 also fails the time check.
Even an earlier payment date requires a final check of actual deposit, account/transfer limits and current notices.
A matching date is not a guarantee of an executable closing.

Reconcile cash only from a finalized statement

Formula and arithmetic check

Gross = finalized units × finalized NAV ÷ NAV unit basis
Net cash = gross − redemption fee − deferred sales charge − tax
Difference = actual net deposit − calculated net cash

For 1,000,000 units, finalized NAV KRW 1,200 and a 1,000-unit basis, gross is KRW 1,200,000.
Deducting confirmed redemption fee 1,000, deferred sales charge 2,000 and tax 30,000 gives KRW 1,167,000.
An actual deposit of KRW 1,167,000 therefore gives a zero difference.

Without a finalized statement, the result remains NO_DATA; the calculator does not estimate future NAV, tax or proceeds from account valuation.
Unknown deductions must remain blank instead of being treated as zero.
Match the statement’s NAV unit basis and ask the seller about rounding or truncation below one won.
Reconciliation does not establish whether fees or tax are legally correct or guarantee the final deposit.

Practical scenarios and limits

  • Housing deposit or property closing: choose a target before closing and examine the latest window.
If the deadline has passed, discuss closing changes or alternative funds; do not decide on emergency borrowing solely from a scheduled date.
  • Household or medical payments: compare the expense date with fund proceeds, temporary closure notices and the actual account available for transfers.
Calculate separate holdings one at a time.
  • Reservation review: do not treat a weekend submission as same-day acceptance.
Even MMF same-day processing can have seller limits or account exceptions; immediate withdrawal is not assumed.
  • Restrictions or deferral: stop schedule prediction when applicable notices are unknown or active.
Private/closed-end funds, pension-account withdrawals, arbitrary overseas-holiday unions and date-specific acceptance hours are outside scope.

Frequently asked questions

How many days does every fund take?

There is no universal number.
Verify the current prospectus and seller terms for the four before/after NAV and payment ordinals.

Does the 8th business day mean D+8?

If receipt day counts as day 1, it means D+7.
Confirm whether receipt day is included.

Will a weekend reservation automatically be treated as Monday?

No conversion date is invented.
Enter the actual acceptance/conversion timestamp confirmed by your seller.

Is exactly 17:00 before or after cutoff?

It depends on the verified contract and seller.
If unresolved, current acceptance is held and reverse search excludes that minute.

What if KRX is closed but the seller is open?

Only the confirmed weekday receipt-day exception is supported.
It does not change later closures, and neither Saturday nor Sunday becomes an acceptance day.

Can I transfer immediately when payment and closing dates match?

Dates alone cannot answer that.
Confirm cash/withdrawal/transfer timing and limits; unknown timing leaves a specific-time closing on hold.

Can current account valuation predict my net deposit?

The tool does not forecast NAV or tax.
Only finalized settlement inputs are used to reconcile net cash and actual deposit.

Does no data mean redemption is impossible?

No.
It means coverage is insufficient or there is no candidate inside the verified range.
Recheck the range and terms or contact the seller.
