Uses the Korean estimate formula with the 2026 reform assumptions: proportional constant 1.29, 43% replacement-rate basis, future premium-rate schedule rising from 9.5% in 2026 to 13% in 2033, and 120-month minimum qualification. This English finance calculator calls the Korean feature lib for its numeric result. KRW inputs and outputs replace the old generic USD projection stub for this batch.

National Pension estimate calculator

This English guide translates the Korean basic National Pension estimate page. The calculator calls estimateNationalPension and preserves the 2026 reform assumptions for contribution rate, replacement rate, A value, and minimum months.

Core formula and eligibility

The Korean estimator uses the National Pension benefit formula with proportional constant 1.29 under the 2026 reform replacement-rate assumption. A value is the average monthly income of all subscribers for the relevant period, and B value is the user income base.

The minimum old-age pension qualification is 10 years, or 120 months. Below 120 months, a user may receive a lump-sum refund rather than ordinary old-age pension. A 40-year contribution history is the reference for the 43% income replacement rate.

2026 reform assumptions

The Korean content states that the premium rate begins rising from 9% to 9.5% in 2026, then rises by 0.5 percentage point per year until it reaches 13% in 2033. The calculator keeps this reform path for contribution estimates.

The income replacement rate is described as fixed upward at 43% from the prior scheduled decline. The estimator therefore uses 43% and 1.29 to approximate future monthly pension, replacement ratio, total premium, benefit-cost ratio, and break-even age.

Practical interpretation

The result can differ from the official National Pension Service lookup because actual benefits depend on historical income revaluation, future A values, contribution record, and legal changes. Use it for planning before checking the official record.

Subscribers should compare estimated pension with retirement spending needs and then add retirement pension, IRP, pension savings, housing pension, or other assets. The calculator also distinguishes employee, self-employed, and voluntary contribution patterns.
