The IPO lib preserves the 50 percent default deposit, equal-allocation lottery probability, proportional competition, subscription fee, and listing-day scenario helpers. This English finance calculator uses the Korean feature lib for the displayed numeric result. KRW is used for money inputs and outputs in this batch, fixing the old P2 USD scenario stub for these pages.

IPO subscription calculator

This English guide translates the Korean IPO subscription calculator for deposit requirement, equal allocation, proportional allocation, refund, and additional payment.

Deposit and subscription amount

Korean IPO subscriptions commonly require a deposit rather than full cash settlement at subscription time. The calculator preserves the 50 percent default deposit rate, offering price, subscription shares, and subscription fee.

Required deposit equals subscription amount multiplied by the deposit rate. The refund amount is then calculated after allocated shares and fees are considered. If allocated value and fee exceed deposit, the result shows an additional payment.

Equal and proportional allocation

The equal-allocation side divides the equal pool by total subscriber accounts and shows guaranteed shares plus equal-allocation lottery probability. When the pool is smaller than subscriber count, the expected equal shares can be below one share.

The proportional-allocation side divides requested shares by the competition ratio. The calculator keeps confirmed shares and fractional shares so users can see whether the proportional allocation is meaningful.

Listing-day scenario context

The Korean lib also includes listing-day scenario helpers that reflect the 60 percent to 400 percent listing-day price band around the offering price. The batch page focuses on allocation math, but the content keeps that price-band context because expected profit depends on both allocation and listing price.

Use this page before tying up cash for an IPO subscription. High subscription capital does not guarantee allocated shares, and listing-day upside can be offset by low allocation, fee, or price reversal.
