Uses the Korean couple-tendency engine and its 17 Likert questions across spending, saving, debt, goal, and emotion dimensions. This English finance calculator calls the same Korean pure calculation module as the Korean page. KRW and Korean statutory thresholds are preserved instead of the old generic percentage stub.

Couple financial tendency guide

This English guide translates the Korean couple financial tendency calculator. The calculator calls analyzeCouple and keeps the spending, saving, debt, goal, and emotion dimensions used by the Korean questionnaire.

Five dimensions

The Korean questionnaire scores spending, saving, debt, goal, and emotion. Spending measures purchase control and experience spending, saving measures reserves and investment tendency, debt measures loan attitude, goal measures long-term planning, and emotion measures money anxiety and communication.

Each partner receives an individual tendency profile with strengths, weaknesses, and tips. The English version uses the same scoring engine rather than replacing the questionnaire with a generic compatibility percentage.

Compatibility and simulation

Compatibility includes total score, similarity score, and complementary score. A couple can score well because they are similar, because they balance each other, or because both have strong planning habits.

The simulation estimates combined monthly income, spending rate, saving rate, monthly saving, emergency fund, asset5Y, asset10Y, spending breakdown, and yearly projection. Current assets and total debt are included so the result starts from the actual household balance sheet.

How to use the strategies

The Korean result generates strategy recommendations and a roadmap. These are most useful as conversation prompts: who tracks fixed spending, how much goes to emergency fund, when debt is repaid, and what goal receives the next surplus won.

The result should not be treated as a personality label. It is a structured way to discuss money habits before marriage, cohabitation, large loans, joint investment, or child-planning decisions.
