Highway Toll Calculator

Highway Toll Calculator helps estimate fare, toll, parking, transit, delivery, designated-driver, and recurring transport-cost scenarios in English.

Highway toll inputs

Route is fixed to the Korean default Gyeongbu Expressway Hannam to Busan segment so discounts can be tested without invalid IC combinations.

Korean highway toll, discount, and travel-cost estimate

This English guide follows the Korean calculator logic and preserves the Korean rates, thresholds, vehicle classifications, and administrative assumptions used by the source page.

Route, class, and toll calculation

The Korean highway-toll model uses route, entrance IC, exit IC, vehicle class, route type, and fixed toll data where available. If a fixed route toll is not stored, the source falls back to the per-kilometer class tariff with a base fare.

Vehicle classes 1 through 6 are preserved. Class 6 represents light cars and uses the light-car toll structure, while private highways can apply route multipliers above ordinary public-highway rates.

  • The default route is Gyeongbu Expressway from Hannam to Busan.
  • Midnight-to-06:00 travel can receive the night time-slot discount in the model.
  • The commute discount is modeled separately from vehicle-type and welfare discounts.

Discounts, fuel cost, and mode comparison

The calculator applies Hi-Pass status, light-car or eco-vehicle discount, multi-child discount, disabled or veteran discount, and time-slot discount through the Korean discount logic. The output keeps base toll, discount amount, final toll, round-trip toll, and per-person toll separate.

Fuel cost is estimated from distance, selected fuel type, 2026 average fuel prices, and source fuel-efficiency assumptions. The total travel cost therefore combines toll and fuel rather than showing toll alone.
