What Is the Korea Civil Court Stamp and Service Fee Calculator?

This calculator estimates the court payment required when filing a Korean civil case: stamp fees, service fees, electronic filing discount, non-property claim stamps, counterclaim stamps, and selected case-type multipliers. It follows the Korean Civil Litigation Stamp Act fee model used by the Korean page.

The key inputs are claim amount, case type, property or non-property nature, number of parties, electronic filing, legal aid, and whether a counterclaim is included.

Important Note

Court fee aid, fee correction orders, changes in claim amount, added parties, and appeal-stage changes can alter the actual payment requested by the court clerk.

Electronic Filing and Rounding

  • Electronic filing applies a 10% stamp discount subject to the Korean model cap.
  • The Korean fee logic preserves the minimum stamp amount and truncates larger amounts below the KRW 100 unit where required.
  • Service fee is calculated from party count, service rounds, and the 2025-06-01 service fee unit of KRW 5,500.

FAQ

Is attorney fee included?

No. This calculator estimates court-paid stamp and service fees. Attorney retainers, success fees, appraisal costs, translation, and evidence costs are separate.

How are payment orders different?

A payment order uses one tenth of the main-case stamp and service fee rounds based on the debtor count, making it much cheaper unless the debtor objects.
