This English finance calculator calls the same Korean pure calculation module as the Korean page. KRW amounts, Korean thresholds, insurance rules, tax logic, and scenario assumptions are preserved instead of the old generic percentage stub.

Retirement pension comprehensive guide

This English guide translates the Korean retirement pension comprehensive simulator. The calculator calls simulateRetirementPension and compareNpsScenarios with Korean 2026 assumptions.

Four retirement income pillars

The model combines National Pension, retirement pension, private pension, pension insurance, and reverse mortgage. It shows monthly gross and net income by age rather than one static retirement number.

National Pension uses the 2026 A-value, contribution months, average income, normal claim age, early claim reduction, and deferred claim increase. The result also compares early, normal, and deferred NPS scenarios.

Retirement and private pension tax

Retirement pension can be modeled as pension payout or lump sum. Pension payout applies retirement-income tax reduction logic, while lump-sum treatment is different.

Private pension uses the Korean private pension separate-tax limit context, including the annual separate-tax line for private pension income. The tax breakdown reports NPS tax, retirement pension tax, private pension tax, total annual tax, and whether the separate-tax limit is exceeded.

Income gap and reverse mortgage

The income gap period between retirement and NPS start is shown in years and amount. This is often the most practical funding problem for early retirees.

Reverse mortgage starts at the selected age when enabled and uses Korean housing-price based monthly payout assumptions. Inflation adjustment can convert future cash flow into present-value terms.
